Music and dance have been a part of my creative expression my entire life, from having a jazz singer as a mother to being in an Alvin Ailey trained dance company in my teens and than producing my first creative endeavor as a designer with my brand, CENSORED NYC collaborating with my dancer friends for the debut collection titled, “We Are The WIld Things”. This visualizer/short film is a love letter to my childhood and the “origin story” that paved the path for my story telling. So much of my poetry is inspired by the music I listen to and even the concept behind “The Twelve” short films was based on the idea of mixtapes. This is a celebration of collaboration and what I consider to be the purest forms of expression: music and dance.
